When should I migrate an extension endorsement into SLIP+ for States

If the endorsement extends the policy less than 365 days from the original policy expiration date, file the endorsement in the states’ legacy platform. If the extension extends the expiration date more than 365 days past the original policy expiration date, file it in SLIP+ for States as a renewal transaction.

Note: This rule does not apply to endorsements for Kansas and Colorado. All endorsements for Colorado, and all Kansas endorsements on policies effective on or after January 1, 2024, should be filed in SLIP+ for States.
