Batch Filing

Batch filing is a mechanism offered to surplus lines agents, independently procured coverage (IPC) filers, risk purchasing groups (RPG), and non-admitted insurers who have a large volume of business to report.

About XML/CSV Batch Filing of Transaction Data

Our platform offers batch filing of transaction data for surplus lines agents, insurers, and large volume independently procured coverage (IPC) filers using one of several eXtensible Markup Language (XML) or comma-separated value (CSV) formats.

A SLIP+ user should register directly in SLIP+ to access all documentation, help guides, and sample files. Batch filing permission is directly tied to a SLIP+ account. No additional credentials are required to submit a batch file. Additionally, web service users will also need to use valid SLIP+ user credentials to authenticate. We offer in-application onboarding/testing for new batch filers, an XML/XSD schema validation tool, and a CSV format batch filing option.

Methods of Submission

Batch filing may require some technical configuration to export the policy data into an XML format so it can be uploaded into SLIP+. API submission allows customers to submit automatically by transmitting policy data from server to server.

For more information on XML batch or web service submissions, please contact the SLIP+ team via email.
