Arkansas Becomes 10th State to Adopt SLIP+ for Surplus Lines Reporting and Payments

Arkansas marks an important milestone for SLIP+, becoming the 10th state outside of Florida to adopt the platform and brings SLIP+ to double-digit participation. Arkansas follows Louisiana, which joined the platform on July 1, 2026. 

Adoption of SLIP+ for Reporting and Payment of Surplus Lines Taxes

Effective January 1, 2027, the Arkansas Insurance Department will transition to Slip+ for States as the required platform for Arkansas surplus lines insurers, agents, and brokers to report transactions and pay premium taxes in accordance with Ark. Code Ann. § 23-65-315. Slip+ for States will replace the Optlns platform.
